SGB is committed to environment protection and sustainable development. We offer perfect packaging solutions combining luxury packaging and ecology. Our eco-responsible suppliers and partnerships are ECOCERT, REACH and PEFC certified. They maintain an ongoing environmental protection process and improve the management of natural resources. Our suppliers comply with legislative and regulatory requirements that protect the environment from potential hazardous impact arising from manufacturing activities.
Environmental Information
Glass is the only packaging material to be 100% recyclable. Our supplier uses of “cullet” (recycled glass) to reduce the use of raw material, conserve energy, limit CO2 emissions and reduce volume of waste. The factory reduces consumption of drinking water by installing rainwater recovery tanks. They save energy and follow a policy of reduction of air emissions via Low Nox burners, installation of electro filters, and the gradual changeover to natural gas. Our suppliers are ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certified, using packaging with high recyclability, and optimizing logistics flow by choosing less polluting means of transport.
Our factories integrate sustainability into “eco-design” product and study Carbon Footprints to lead to further reduction of global CO2 emission and toxic air emissions. Decoration processes are also eco-friendly using organic colors which contain no Heavy Metals . The organic pigments are 100% recyclable.
Compression
Thermohardening resin is an organic material. The environmental friendly material is composite of wooden cellulose soaked with urea. When recycled it can be turned into a powder reusable as fertilizer, for sanding and embankment of roads.
Recycled PET
We have the possibility of using 25-100% of “Recycled PET” resins in the injection blow bi-oriented bottles. These bottles will be recycled at the end of their life.
Wood
The wood components are all certified PEFC this international certification aims to work throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards.
Innovation & Raw Materials
In reference to the development of new technologies, we emphasize using materials and processes that are environmentally safe and friendly to humans. Biodegradable materials such as PLA, PPML and other organic materials are also under development.
